Head of Interior Design, FCC Peterborough

“Designing aircraft interiors is a dream job for me, I love the ability to work with the customer’s vision and turn it into reality, there are not many places where you get to have such hands on experience creating beautiful interiors that blend form, function and vision. With the growth in Asia I’ve been able to use my cultural knowledge to genuinely help grow the business in the Asia Pacific region. I don’t know many companies where I would have had such freedom to influence corporate growth.”

“I’ve been with Flying Colours Corp. from the start when I joined as a maintenance engineer out of school. The ability to speak openly and honestly with the management allowed me to showcase my skills and develop my career along the way. Today as the Senior VP of Technical Services I’m involved in a diverse set of projects that bring together the team’s ideas, skills and professional capabilities. I’ve grown with the company as its grown, it’s a great place to develop a career.”

Production Co-ordinator, FCC St. Louis

“I joined FCC in January 2019 in an administrative role supporting a number of different departments at the St. Louis facility. In a really short space of time I learned a lot about the business and range of services it provides. Following a visit to our Canadian headquarters I was promoted to Production Coordinator which sees me working with multiple departments to ensure the production team has all the requirements needed to meet schedules.

It has been a great fit for me, I absolutely love working in the hangar with the production team. It allows me to work side by side with some of the most intelligent and skilled individuals in this field. I learn something each and every day and look forward to seeing where my career will go. Who knows maybe someday I will become a Program Manager?”

Upholstery, FCC Singapore

“I have been with Flying Colours Corp for about a year and am so pleased to have been able to make the most of the opportunity to learn and grow in my area of expertise. From starting as a humble seamstress, I am now an upholstery technician. I don’t think many companies would have given me the opportunity or taken the time to teach and support me. The team is strong and works so well together, it’s great to be a part of it and I’m looking forward to the continued growth of the business here in Asia.”

Aircraft Technical Trainer, FCC Peterborough

““I was originally hired as a licensed AME and relocated from Calgary, Alberta to Peterborough Ontario to join the FCC team. It was challenging to arrive as a newly licenced AME without any endorsements, but now I have Bombardier CL300 series, CL600 series, Global 5000/6000 endorsements under my belt. I came looking for a challenge and found it. No two days are the same, the variety of aircraft we work on has certainly kept me on my toes.

We get to work on complete projects seeing them from start through to finish, it means we’re involved with every aspect which keeps the work interesting and stimulating. I am now an Aircraft Technical Trainer. FCC has supported me by giving me many opportunities and I hope I can continue to really add value to FCC.”

“I always wanted a career in the aviation industry. However, due to lack of experience and relevant qualifications, I didn’t have the opportunity. However, Flying Colours Corp. gave me the opportunity to make a major career switch from sales to a technical environment and I’m so proud to have developed with the business. Thanks Flying Colours Corp for having faith in me.”

Cabinet Shop Crew Lead, FCC St. Louis

“Before joining Flying Colours Corp. I was with the U.S. Army. I began my career here in 2017 as an apprentice cabinetmaker. Having demonstrated versatility and the ability to adapt to a variety of tasks I was promoted to cabinet shop crew lead two years later. I’m now responsible for leading the daily operations of my assigned crew. Working together is key to our success and I’m never alone managing the associated challenges as we support, improve and grow together. I’m currently studying for an MBA and as Flying Colours Corp. is growing at a fast pace I cannot wait to see what they future may hold here.”
